Usage tips

Boiled or distilled water gives better results than tap water for creating perfectly transparent 3D ice cubes, whether you're making spherical or square shapes. Below is my personal experience creating four giant skulls.

Before use:

It is recommended to wash the mold before use, or to put it in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes if the silicone gives off a strong odor.

Step 1: Close the mold and make sure that the side groove of each skull is airtight.

Step 2: Fill each skull with water through the top opening — or prepare a fruit jelly or a chocolate skull inside.

Step 3: Place in the refrigerator for approximately 6 hours.

Additional tips for making clear ice skulls:

As mentioned previously, the use of clean water is an important factor. Another key factor is cooling control.

Cool the water slowly to increase your chances of obtaining a transparent ice skull.

You can place it in the refrigerator at a lower temperature for a few hours, then transfer it to the freezer for another 4 to 6 hours.
